The program of the session includes discussion of the following topics:

●               Technological leadership as a scientific problem

●               Technological sovereignty and the tasks of scientific development

●               Science and society in conditions of turbulence

●               History of scientific and technological revolutions

●               The Fourth Industrial Revolution: problems and prospects

●               History of Russian modernizations

●               Progress of science: myth or reality?

●               Limits of scientific and technological progress

●               Social implications of science: the role of science in the modernization of society

●               Optimal forms of organization of science as a research problem

●               International scientific and technical cooperation in the context of globalization

●               Russian science in the context of confrontation

●               Scientific sovereignty and leadership: similarities and differences of concepts

●               Ways to achieve technological sovereignty

●               Meritocracy and success in science

●               Modern career paths in science

 

Working languages: Russian and English.

Form of payment: participation is free, but accommodation, travel, meals are provided at the expense of the sending party or the participant's own funds.

 

Venue: The session will be held in the conference hall of the St. Petersburg Branch S.I. Vavilov Institute for the History of Science and Technology of the RAS, (Universitetskaya nab., 5 b, second floor)

The Organizing Committee welcomes the participation of young researchers, including students, postgraduates, interns, and teachers.

Following the results of the School's work, the articles of the participants will be published in the peer-reviewed yearbook "THE PROBLEMS OF SCIENTIST AND SCIENTIFIC GROUPS ACTIVITY" (indexed in the RSCI). The Editorial Board reserves the right to select manuscripts for publication.
